Say what you will about the iPhone 16e, but I really enjoy the single camera look.
@matt I would trade my 16 for one if it had Dynamic Island. I love the camera.
@Ronnie Yeah, I do miss the Dynamic Island more than I expected.
@matt I could not care less about MagSafe because I never use it but I use the Dynamic Island daily, mostly for sports but also for music and podcasts.
@matt cleanest iPhone design in a long long time. How do you find the camera performance in normal day usage vs 16 and 16 pro?
@simoner It’s honestly hard to tell right away. I defiantly miss macro for random stuff here and there, and I miss the new photographic styles, but the single camera seems pretty legit. I’m going to have to test more to say anything more definitive.
@matt My hottest iPhone take is that a single 35mm/70mm lens would be the ideal setup.
@jeremykanter Could be! As long as there's a macro option, the 16e's biggest miss IMO, I could make due.

@j4ck I am for the new few weeks. Curious if this makes me more or less aligned with the Pro phones that I’ve been on for so long.
@matt yeah I’ve never had one. first phone for me was the first SE, then the 2nd, now I’m on a base 16 — and as you mentioned in your 16e video, the battery on the SEs were awful. super happy on this 16 atm.
@matt But how would you ever shoot all of that spatial video of Sherman with that lol?
